About Me
Dr. Nicholas Carducci is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery and the medical management of retinal diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, and retinal tears. He is highly skilled in laser and injection-based treatments, including YAG laser capsulotomy, retinal laser photocoagulation, and intravitreal injections with agents such as Avastin, Eylea, and Vabysmo.
Dr. Carducci earned his undergraduate degree with honors in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan and completed medical school at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He returned to Michigan for residency and fellowship at the Kellogg Eye Center, where he received the Paul R. Lichter Resident Mentor Award.
His clinical interests span medical retina, anterior segment surgery, and ophthalmic education. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national conferences. Dr. Carducci is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Outside of work, he enjoys travel, fitness, and volunteering.
