About Me
Dr. Mohammed K. Barazi is a retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon at The Retina Group of Washington, where he diagnoses and treats a wide range of retinal conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachments. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
Dr. Barazi earned his medical degree from Marshall University, where he also completed an internship in general surgery. He went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at George Washington University, serving as chief resident, and then pursued a fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at Georgetown University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center. He is a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at the Georgetown University Hospital/Washington National Eye Center Residency Program.
Dr. Barazi is affiliated with several major hospitals, including Washington Hospital Center, Georgetown University Hospital, Inova Fairfax and Fair Oaks Hospitals, and Children’s National Medical Center. He has been recognized as a top ophthalmologist in the Washingtonian “Top Doctors” rankings.
