Dr. Mohsin Ali

Dr. Mohsin H. Ali is a board-certified retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon with the Retina Group of Washington. He manages the full spectrum of medical and surgical retina disease, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, retinal detachment, macular hole and epiretinal membrane, uveitis, and complex vitreoretinal trauma. His care philosophy centers on careful listening, individualized treatment planning, and educating patients so they can make confident decisions.

Dr. Ali completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago (Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary), where he served as chief resident, followed by a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Duke University. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and has been recognized with awards including a Heed Fellowship and the VitreoRetinal Surgery Foundation Research Award.
