About Me
Dr. Michael H Osman is a retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon who provides advanced care for conditions affecting the retina and vitreous. He treats patients with age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and other vitreoretinal disorders. Dr. Osman's approach combines thorough evaluation with clear communication, helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options. He sees patients at multiple locations in northern Virginia, including Leesburg, Fairfax, and Reston.
Dr. Osman completed his ophthalmology residency at the Wilmer Eye Institute and a vitreoretinal fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds active licenses in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. He serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Washington Hospital Center and is President of the Northern Virginia Academy of Ophthalmology. His clinical research has included work at the National Eye Institute, and he has published numerous articles and book chapters on retinal care.
