Dr. Michael Lim

Dr. Michael G. Lim is a board-certified ophthalmologist and surgeon serving patients in the Carlsbad, New Mexico area. He holds the unique distinction of being trained as both an ophthalmologist and an optometrist. Dr. Lim earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency in medical and surgical ophthalmology at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation. Prior to medical school, he earned a degree in optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and holds medical licenses in New Mexico and Texas.

Dr. Lim provides comprehensive eye care, treating a wide range of conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, strabismus, amblyopia, keratoconus, presbyopia, astigmatism, and retinal detachments. He offers diagnostic testing and surgical treatments to address the visual needs of his patients.
