About Me
Dr. Meenakashi Gupta is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery. She provides advanced care for conditions affecting the retina and vitreous, utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic tools at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary's Advanced Retinal Imaging Center. Dr. Gupta performs contemporary vitreoretinal procedures such as small gauge sutureless vitrectomy and scleral buckling.
She earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School after graduating magna cum laude in neurobiology from Harvard University. Her ophthalmology residency was completed at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, followed by a vitreoretinal diseases and surgery fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. As an associate professor in ophthalmology, she is actively involved in teaching and research.
Dr. Gupta participates in research activities and national clinical trials, focusing on advanced imaging techniques and novel treatments for retinal diseases like diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachments. She has authored numerous publications and presented her work at national and international conferences. Dr. Gupta sees patients at multiple Mount Sinai locations and is currently accepting new patients.
