About Me

Dr. Marilyn McLaurin Collins is a cornea and external disease specialist dedicated to restoring comfort and clarity of vision for patients with surface and corneal disorders. She provides comprehensive medical management and surgical care, and takes time to discuss options—from drops and office-based procedures to advanced transplant techniques—so each plan reflects the patient’s goals and daily routine. Her interests include complex cataract care in eyes with prior surgery and tailoring visual outcomes to patients’ activities.

Dr. Collins earned her medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed ophthalmology residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas. She is completing fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease at Washington University in St. Louis, where she manages keratoconus, corneal infections and dystrophies, ocular surface disease, and complications referred from across the region. She enjoys collaborating with optometry and rheumatology colleagues to support long-term eye health.
