Dr. Praneetha Thulasi

Dr. Praneetha Thulasi is an ophthalmologist who specializes in cornea and ocular surface care. She evaluates and treats conditions that affect the clear front window of the eye, including keratoconus, infectious keratitis, dry eye and other ocular surface diseases. When surgery is needed, she offers advanced options such as cornea transplantation as well as cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation to help restore clearer, more comfortable vision.

Dr. Thulasi completed her ophthalmology residency at Emory University and advanced fellowship training in cornea, refractive surgery, and external diseases at the University of Illinois Chicago. She serves as an Associate Professor in Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and is Director of the Corneal, External Disease, and Refractive Fellowship. She is also committed to improving access to vision care globally and has spent time in Ethiopia during residency to better understand barriers to care.

She focuses on clear communication and shared decision-making so patients understand their diagnosis and treatment choices.
