About Me
Dr. Louis S. Angioletti is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in vitreoretinal surgery and macular disease. He treats a wide range of retinal conditions, including retinal detachments, macular holes, macular pucker, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Angioletti is a Senior Attending Surgeon at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and holds the academic title of Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Icahn School of Medicine. He has been actively involved in training ophthalmology residents and retina fellows since 1992.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Angioletti has contributed to the field through authored textbook chapters and professional journal articles on surgical retina. He has served in leadership roles at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, including as Chairman of the Medical Board. Dr. Angioletti is dedicated to providing expert care for patients with complex retinal conditions.
