About Me
Dr. Erik Kruger is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 20 years of experience specializing in retinal diseases. He diagnoses and treats conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and holes, and other vitreoretinal disorders. Dr.
Kruger completed his ophthalmology residency at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by fellowships in retinal imaging and retinal disease. He has been a principal investigator on more than 35 clinical trials and has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. In addition to English, he speaks conversational Spanish. Dr. Kruger believes in connecting with patients beyond their diagnoses and considers it a privilege to be part of their care journey.
