About Me
Dr. Lisa Bohra is a pediatric ophthalmologist and adult strabismus surgeon who provides medical and surgical care for children and adults in Metro Detroit and Southeast Michigan. With over two decades of experience, she specializes in treating complex pediatric eye conditions including childhood glaucoma, congenital cataracts, uveitis, and eye disorders associated with genetic syndromes. She also cares for patients with pediatric and adult strabismus, pediatric glaucoma, pediatric cataracts, and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). Dr. Bohra is skilled in diagnosing and managing systemic and inflammatory eye conditions in children, often collaborating with rheumatologists, geneticists, and neurologists.
Dr. Bohra serves as Chief of Ophthalmology at Children's Hospital of Michigan and holds faculty appointments as Clinical Associate Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. She is an attending physician at several hospitals, including Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital, Henry Ford St. John Hospital, Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital, and Hurley Medical Center. She plays an essential role in ROP screenings for premature infants in NICUs and is actively involved in clinical research as a principal investigator for the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG). Dr. Bohra is committed to building lasting relationships with families and providing compassionate, comprehensive eye care.
