About Me
Dr. Shaza N. Al-Holou is a pediatric ophthalmologist and strabismus specialist dedicated to protecting children’s vision from infancy through adolescence. She evaluates and treats amblyopia, strabismus, pediatric cataract, blocked tear ducts, and other childhood eye conditions, and offers adult strabismus care. Families appreciate her calm, child-friendly visits and the way she explains findings and treatment plans—whether glasses, patching, medical therapy, or surgery—in simple, practical terms.
Dr. Al-Holou completed medical school at the University of Michigan, ophthalmology residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and a pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital. She sees patients across southeast Michigan and works closely with pediatricians and subspecialists to coordinate care for children with complex medical needs. Her goal is to deliver timely, evidence-based care that supports healthy visual development and confident, comfortable seeing.
