About Me
Dr. Justin Arnett is a vitreoretinal surgeon who treats medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous with a steady, detail-oriented approach. He explains findings clearly, outlines options, and works with patients to choose a plan that protects central and peripheral vision over the long term. His clinical interests include macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, and complex macular disorders.
Dr. Arnett earned a Bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology from Harvard University, a Master of Translational Medicine from UC Berkeley and UCSF, and a medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed ophthalmology residency at the Shiley Eye Institute, UC San Diego, where he is also completing a clinical fellowship in Retina & Vitreous. His research spans innovative devices, brain-computer interfaces, and nanoparticle-based therapeutics, with ongoing work focused on improving retinal outcomes. Patients can expect evidence-based care, clear communication, and close collaboration with their primary eye doctors.
