Dr. Joseph Pulido

Dr. Jose Pulido is a retina specialist at Mid Atlantic Retina. Inspired by his father's struggle with progressive vision loss, he pursued a career in ophthalmology. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and holds numerous patents. Dr. Pulido's research has focused on vitreoretinal infectious and inflammatory diseases, retinal degeneration, stem cells, genetics, and immunotherapies.

Dr. Pulido treats a wide range of retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular hole, macular pucker, uveitis, and retinal vein occlusions. He is a Professor Emeritus of Ophthalmology and Molecular Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and has completed dual fellowships in ocular oncology and vitreoretinal diseases.
