About Me
Dr. Meera Sivalingam is a vitreoretinal surgeon at Wills Eye Hospital who cares for both adult and pediatric patients with medical and surgical retina disease. A third-generation Wills Eye physician, she earned her undergraduate degree at Williams College and her medical degree at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, graduating magna cum laude. She completed ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital followed by a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Wills, where she trained across complex retinal detachment repair, macular surgery, and pediatric vitreoretinal conditions. Board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Sivalingam has served as a co-investigator in numerous clinical trials and contributed to peer-reviewed manuscripts, textbook chapters, presentations, and abstracts. She is a frequent invited speaker at national meetings and remains active in research and education. Dr. Sivalingam’s patients value her blend of advanced surgical skill, thoughtful counseling, and warm, family-centered care.
