Dr. Jason Chow

Dr. Jason C. Chow is a vitreoretinal surgeon who cares for patients with medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. He takes time to listen, explains options in plain language, and uses current research to guide individualized care plans. Dr. Chow treats urgent retinal problems as well as chronic conditions that benefit from careful monitoring and timely intervention.

A Northern California native, Dr. Chow earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Bioengineering from UC San Diego, received his medical degree from the University at Buffalo, completed ophthalmology residency at Brown University, and finished a surgical vitreoretinal fellowship at the University of California, Davis. His interests include translational work in retinal degeneration and educating patients about treatments that can preserve sight.
