About Me
Jacob Duker, MD, is a retina specialist who cares for adults with medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. In addition to his private practice in Rhode Island, he serves as a Clinical Instructor of Surgery at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Duker provides comprehensive management of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal tears and detachments, and other macular disorders, offering in-office treatments such as intravitreal injections as well as advanced retinal surgery. He graduated cum laude from Amherst College and earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. His training includes internship at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance, ophthalmology residency at the University of Miami/Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Tufts New England Eye Center/Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, where he also participated in numerous clinical trials. He enjoys teaching, publishing, and presenting his research to improve outcomes for patients with retinal disease.
