About Me
Dr. Robert H. Janigian Jr. is a vitreoretinal surgeon and uveitis specialist practicing in Providence, Rhode Island. He serves as a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and is actively involved in teaching ophthalmology trainees. Dr. Janigian treats a wide range of conditions including retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and uveitis, and is dedicated to advancing patient care through his academic and clinical work.
Dr. Janigian earned his medical degree from Brown University and completed an ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal fellowship at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University, followed by a uveitis fellowship at Tufts New England Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds memberships in several professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. He has been recognized with awards from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has held leadership roles within the Rhode Island Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
