About Me
Dr. Irene Kuo is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and external diseases at Johns Hopkins Medicine. She provides care for a wide range of conditions affecting the front of the eye, including cataracts, corneal infections, refractive errors, and inflammatory eye diseases. Her expertise includes cataract surgery, LASIK and PRK, and the management of infectious keratitis and uveitis.
Dr. Kuo serves as Clinic Director of the Wilmer Eye Institute at White Marsh and an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology. She is dedicated to evidence-based, patient-centered care, taking time to fully explain diagnoses and treatment options. Her research focuses on improving outcomes in refractive surgery and corneal wound healing.
