About Me
Dr. Fuad Makkouk is an ophthalmologist and retina specialist providing cutting-edge, patient-centered care in Austin. Fellowship-trained in vitreoretinal surgery at Yale, he treats conditions such as macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and diabetic retinopathy, and performs cataract and retinal procedures using advanced laser techniques and intravitreal injections. Dr. Makkouk graduated with high honors in biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin and earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston.
