Meet Dr. Eric Holz
About Me
Dr. Eric R. Holz is a retina specialist at Retina & Vitreous of Texas, providing care for both adult and pediatric retinal conditions. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with highest honors and completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine. He then completed a transitional internship and ophthalmology residency at Baylor's Cullen Eye Institute, followed by a fellowship in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous at the University of Oklahoma's Dean A. McGee Eye Institute.
Dr. Holz serves as Associate Professor of Ophthalmology with tenure and Chief of the Surgical Retina Service at Baylor. He has trained numerous retina fellows and ophthalmology residents and has conducted extensive research on retinal conditions, with over 60 publications. He has a special interest in diseases affecting the macula, including epiretinal membrane, vitreomacular traction syndrome, macular hole, and macular degeneration.
