Daniel R. Salisbury, MD, is a vitreoretinal surgeon with the Vitreoretinal Institute serving patients in Baton Rouge and surrounding communities. Dr. Salisbury graduated with honors from the University of Georgia before earning his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He completed an internship and ophthalmology residency at Tulane University, where he was selected as Chief Resident. He pursued a rigorous two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at Retina and Vitreous of Texas in Houston, refining expertise in the management of diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal tears and detachments, macular holes and puckers, uveitis, and complex vitreoretinal trauma.
