About Me

Adam C. Janot, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal disease and surgery. As part of the Vitreoretinal Institute (VRI), he cares for patients with retina and vitreous conditions that can affect vision, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, floaters, uveitis, and inherited retinal diseases. Dr. Janot completed undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University, graduating with honors in 2008, and earned his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2012. He completed ophthalmology residency training at the Medical College of Virginia in 2016 and then pursued fellowship training in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Stanley Truhlsen Eye Institute. He joined VRI in 2018 and serves as Medical Director, bringing modern diagnostic testing and the latest pharmaceutical, laser, and surgical options to help preserve vision. He values clear communication and partnering with patients through every step of care.
