Dr. Daniel Kim

Dr. Muhammad Musab Shamim is a vitreoretinal surgeon and assistant professor of ophthalmology who treats medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. He earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, completed ophthalmology residency at the Jones Eye Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and advanced fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at Northwestern Medicine. Dr. Shamim cares for patients with age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, uveitis, and other complex retinal conditions. Depending on each case, he offers in-office treatments such as medicated intravitreal injections and laser therapy as well as operating-room procedures including pars plana vitrectomy and scleral buckling to restore or preserve sight. Patients appreciate his clear explanations, timely communication with referring doctors, and focus on comfortable, compassionate care grounded in the latest evidence.

Dr. Pedro Tetelbom is a retina and uveitis specialist who cares for adults with medical and surgical diseases of the back of the eye. He provides thorough evaluations and clear explanations so patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options, whether that involves medications, in-office injections, laser, or advanced microsurgery. His goal is to preserve and restore sight while keeping care as comfortable and convenient as possible for each person he serves. Dr. Tetelbom earned his medical degree at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, completed ophthalmology residency at Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, and went on to additional internship and ophthalmology residency training at New York Medical College. He finished a VitreoRetinal & Uveitis Fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Outside of clinic, he enjoys sports and traveling. He sees patients in Little Rock and welcomes referrals for complex retinal disorders and inflammatory eye disease.
