About Me
Dr. Daniel A. Brinton is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal specialist at East Bay Retina Consultants. He provides care for a wide range of retinal and macular conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular holes, and uveitis. His practice focuses on medical and surgical treatments for diseases of the retina and vitreous.
Dr. Brinton's research interests include pneumatic retinopexy for retinal detachments and intravitreal injections for macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. He is involved in clinical trials and imaging research to advance treatment options. He serves as an assistant clinical professor at the University of California, San Francisco, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a recipient of the American Academy of Ophthalmology Honor Award and the senior author of a textbook on retinal detachment.
