About Me

Dr. Christopher Adam is a vitreoretinal surgeon providing medical and surgical care for diseases of the macula, retina, and vitreous. He completed fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at the Kresge Eye Institute, following ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. His background also includes an internal medicine internship at Stony Brook University’s John T. Mather Hospital and a medical degree from SUNY Downstate. Dr. Adam’s practice emphasizes careful diagnosis, patient education, and stepwise management—from office-based injections and laser treatments to advanced retinal surgery—tailored to each person’s needs. He works closely with referring optometrists and ophthalmologists to ensure timely care for urgent conditions as well as long-term follow-up for chronic retinal disease. Patients value his clear explanations, thoughtful counseling, and focus on restoring and protecting vision.
