Dr. Christine Gonzales

Dr. Christine R. Gonzales is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in medical and surgical retina. She joined the Retina & Vitreous Center in Ashland, Oregon, in 2008, bringing expertise from her previous role as Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute’s Retina Clinic.

Dr. Gonzales has been recognized as a leading innovator in the field of retina care and has served as principal investigator in numerous clinical trials, including studies on therapies for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and uveitis. She has published over 50 articles, abstracts, and book chapters and is an internationally recognized speaker and educator.

At the Retina & Vitreous Center, the only retina clinic in Southern Oregon that participates in national clinical trials, Dr. Gonzales provides advanced medical and surgical retina care. Dr. Gonzales is fluent in Spanish.
