Dr. Adam Aufderheide

Dr. Aufderheide is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical care of conditions affecting the macula, retina, and vitreous. He helps patients protect and restore vision through careful diagnosis, individualized treatment plans, and advanced surgical techniques for diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, epiretinal membrane, macular hole, retinal tears and detachment, retinal vascular occlusions, and vision changes from flashes and floaters.

His background includes engineering and bioengineering training, followed by medical school and specialty training in ophthalmology and vitreoretinal surgery. He completed a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Charles Retina Institute and earned the Fellow of the American Society of Retina Specialists (FASRS) designation.
