About Me
Dr. Steven Saraf is a retina specialist who brings a wealth of experience from his training and practice across the country. He was raised in southern Washington and has traveled widely, completing his medical degree at UCLA and his ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital. He then pursued two advanced fellowships, one in uveitis at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and another in retina and vitreoretinal surgery at the University of Washington.
After training, Dr. Saraf was recruited by the University of Washington to serve as faculty and was appointed assistant professor. His clinical expertise includes medical and surgical management of retinal diseases as well as advanced care for uveitis with immunomodulatory therapies and surgical interventions.
Beyond clinical care, Dr. Saraf is an active researcher with over 20 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and he has participated in clinical trials. His work has been presented at national and international conferences. In his free time, he enjoys ice hockey, exploring the outdoors, cooking, drinking coffee, playing chess, and traveling.
