About Me
Dr. Blake Isernhagen is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Retina Associates of Kentucky, specializing in vitreoretinal surgery and with additional expertise in uveitis and medical retina. He returned to his hometown of Lexington, Kentucky in 2016 after completing his education.
Dr. Isernhagen completed his ophthalmology residency at the Dean McGee Eye Institute and then pursued advanced training in uveitis and retina at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He further specialized with a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the University of British Columbia, where he served as the distinguished William H. Ross Fellow. He is actively involved in lecturing, teaching, and researching uveitis and retinal diseases, and has participated in overseas medical missions to provide eye care in underserved areas.
