About Me
Dr. Freilich is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist at Retina Center of New Jersey. He treats a wide range of retinal conditions including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and macular edema. Dr. Freilich is known for his thorough examinations and patient-focused approach, taking time to explain diagnoses and treatment options.
Dr. Freilich completed his medical training at SUNY Downstate and his ophthalmology residency at Mount Sinai, followed by a fellowship in medical and surgical retina at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. He previously served on the faculty at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he was twice recognized as Teacher of the Year. Dr. Freilich brings extensive experience from both academic medicine and private practice to his patients.
