Dr. Akosua Nti

Dr. Akosua Nti is a fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon who specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the retina and vitreous. She provides both medical and surgical care, offering in-office treatments as well as operating-room procedures when needed. Patients may see her for retina evaluations that involve advanced imaging, as well as treatments such as injections and laser procedures.

Dr. Nti completed undergraduate study in Neuroscience and Behavior at Wesleyan University and earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine as a Willis Scholar. She completed ophthalmology residency training at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins. She has held academic faculty appointments and has presented at national meetings; her scholarly work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Nti is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
