About Me
Dr. Anthony F. Kokx is a board certified ophthalmologist and surgeon at Associates in Eyecare, serving patients in the Denver, Aurora, and Frisco areas. He has extensive experience with advanced cataract surgery techniques, including light adjustable lenses, toric and multifocal lens implants, and iris reconstruction. Dr. Kokx also performs refractive surgery such as LASIK and PRK, and manages complex cataract cases. He provides care for a wide range of eye conditions, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, dry eye disease, and blepharitis.
Dr. Kokx completed his undergraduate degree and medical school at Michigan State University, earning his M.D. from the College of Human Medicine. He then completed a transitional year and his ophthalmology residency at the West Virginia University Eye Institute, where he gained experience in complex medical and surgical eye care. After residency, he practiced in North Carolina for two years before moving to Denver in 2014. In Denver, he served as Chief of Ophthalmology for a large HMO group for two years before joining Associates in Eyecare in March 2021.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Kokx enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and skiing in the mountains, and landscape and night photography. He is also committed to community outreach, providing eye care to vulnerable populations through the Colorado Coalition for Homelessness.
