About Me
Dr. Andrew McClellan is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Texas Retina Associates who specializes in vitreoretinal surgery and medical retina care. He focuses on diagnosing and treating complex retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusions, diabetic eye disease, and retinal detachments. His clinical expertise encompasses both surgical interventions and medical management for diseases affecting the retina and vitreous.
Dr. McClellan completed his vitreoretinal surgery fellowship and ophthalmology residency at the nationally recognized Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He is actively involved in clinical research, serving as a sub-investigator for numerous trials investigating new treatments for geographic atrophy, neovascular age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic macular edema. His work has been published in several peer-reviewed ophthalmology journals.
