Dr. Allan Hunter

Dr. Allan A. Hunter is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist at Oregon Eye Consultants in Eugene, Oregon. He completed his undergraduate degree at Johns Hopkins University and pursued his medical training in Baltimore before undertaking a medical retinal fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and a vitreo-retinal surgical fellowship at the University of California, Davis.

Dr. Hunter focuses on the medical and surgical management of retinal conditions and uveitis. He has particular expertise in age-related macular degeneration, having received the K Award for his research in this area. He also manages diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, macular holes, and other vitreoretinal disorders.

An award-winning presenter and highly published author in ophthalmic journals, Dr. Hunter has also served as a principal investigator on numerous clinical research projects. He provides comprehensive retina care to patients in the Eugene area.
