About Me
Dr. Muhammad Hassan is a vitreoretinal surgeon at Oregon Eye Consultants who treats complex disorders of the retina and vitreous. His practice focuses on age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal tears and detachment, macular holes and epiretinal membranes, uveitis, and retinal vascular conditions. Dr. Hassan completed his ophthalmology residency at the Byers Eye Institute at Stanford University and advanced fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at the Cincinnati Eye Institute/University of Cincinnati. He earned his medical degree from Aga Khan University. An active clinician–scholar, he has published in peer-reviewed journals, presented at national and international meetings, and served on the editorial team for the American Journal of Ophthalmology Case Reports. Outside the clinic, he enjoys landscape and astrophotography and exploring Oregon’s outdoors with his family.
