Meet Dr. John William Karth

Dr. John Karth is a retina specialist who provides comprehensive retinal care. He earned his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Rochester. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in vitreo-retinal diseases at the University of British Columbia and Vancouver General Hospital.

Dr. Karth has been involved in research for conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, and other retinal and optic nerve disorders. He has also studied genetic and progressive retinopathies and the role of angiogenic factors in disease. He is dedicated to patient education and training the next generation of eye care providers.

Dr. Karth lives in Eugene and is committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, photography, and spending time with his family.
