Dr. Ahad Fazelat

Dr. Ahad A. Fazelat is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal specialist at The Medical Eye Center. He provides expert care for a wide range of retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal artery and vein occlusions, macular edema, epiretinal membranes, vitreomacular traction, macular holes, retinal tears, and retinal detachment. His practice is dedicated to preserving and restoring vision for patients in Manchester, Bedford, Nashua, Peterborough, and Concord, New Hampshire.

Dr. Fazelat earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He then completed a residency in general ophthalmology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by a two-year retina fellowship affiliated with Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Harvard Medical School. He is a diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and an active member of the American Society of Retina Specialists. Additionally, he holds an active staff affiliation at Elliot Hospital.

Dr. Fazelat has been recognized for his excellence in ophthalmology by his peers and the community. He was named one of the "Top 40 under 40" by the New Hampshire Union Leader in 2014. Moreover, he has been selected as one of New Hampshire Magazine's "Top Doctors" every year from 2022 through 2026. Dr. Fazelat is also actively involved in research and education, having published in peer-reviewed journals and presented on topics such as genetic markers in macular degeneration, macular holes, retinal vein occlusion, ophthalmic emergencies, and retinal detachment.
