About Me
Dr. Eliot Foley is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal disorders. He was part of a research team that first demonstrated a clinical response to blocking vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), a discovery that led to the development of Avastin, a medication widely used for vascular-related eye conditions.
Dr. Foley graduated from Harvard University and received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Boston University and a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery. He also served as an Instructor in Ophthalmology at the Boston VA Medical Center. Since 2005, he has provided care to patients in New Hampshire.
Dr. Foley emphasizes the medical and surgical treatment of diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, macular pucker, macular hole, and retinal detachment. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has been selected as a Top Doctor by New Hampshire Magazine.
