About Me
Dr. Stephanie Choi is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon who cares for adults with both medical and surgical disorders of the retina and vitreous. She trained at Harvard Medical School and completed a Master in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School before an internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering, ophthalmology residency at New York University, and a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the New England Eye Center/Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. Dr. Choi treats age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal vein occlusions, retinal tears and detachments, and vitreomacular conditions such as macular holes and epiretinal membranes, as well as complications of cataract surgery including dislocated lenses.
She has published in peer-reviewed journals, presented at regional and national meetings, and serves as a sub-investigator on ongoing clinical trials. Patients value her clear explanations and practical guidance at each step of diagnosis and treatment, whether care involves office-based therapies or surgery. Outside of work, she’s an avid distance runner and outdoor enthusiast and enjoys supporting visually impaired athletes.
