About Me
Dr. Adrian Laviña is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist serving patients in the Palm Beach Gardens, Stuart, West Palm Beach, and Port St. Lucie communities. He treats a broad range of retinal conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, macular holes, and retinal vein occlusion. Dr. Laviña earned his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed an ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University, where he served as chief resident.
He went on to complete advanced fellowship training in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at the University of British Columbia and in medical retinal disease at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Laviña has been an investigator in numerous national clinical trials for new retinal treatments and has authored many research articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
