About Me
Dr. Yandong Bian, also known as Dr. Yanna Bian, is a fellowship-trained cataract, cornea, and refractive surgeon who specializes in the medical and surgical care of corneal and anterior segment conditions. She provides a range of advanced procedures including laser refractive surgery, cataract surgery, pterygium excision, ocular surface reconstruction, and corneal transplantation. Dr. Bian is dedicated to offering the highest level of care to her patients, utilizing her expertise in complex anterior segment surgeries.
Dr. Bian earned her medical degree from Columbia University, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She completed her ophthalmology residency and a fellowship in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, serving as chief cornea fellow during her training. She now holds the position of Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Mount Sinai Health System.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Bian is an active researcher who has authored several publications and received awards for her scientific contributions. She has presented her work at national conferences and is affiliated with multiple Mount Sinai hospitals. Dr. Bian is currently accepting new patients.
