Dr. Sima Doshi-Carnevale

Sima Doshi, MD, FACS, is a board-certified ophthalmologist with specialized fellowship training in Cornea, External Disease, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery. She is dedicated to restoring and enhancing vision through a patient-centered approach that blends cutting-edge technology with personalized, compassionate care. Dr. Doshi offers a wide range of advanced procedures including LASIK, PRK, femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, premium intraocular lenses, corneal transplants, and corneal crosslinking for keratoconus.

Dr. Doshi earned her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and completed her medical degree and Master’s in Surgery at McGill University School of Medicine. She completed her ophthalmology residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident in her final year, followed by a fellowship in Corneal, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at New York University and North Shore University Hospital.

Committed to excellence, Dr. Doshi has contributed to numerous publications and multicenter clinical trials focusing on corneal disease, dry eye, and refractive surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the New York State Ophthalmological Society. Having lived in the area for over 25 years, she is proud to practice in her community and believes in building trust with patients through empathy and thoughtful care.
