About Me
Dr. Wei Huang is an ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon providing comprehensive eye care in Huntersville, North Carolina. She specializes in glaucoma management, cataract surgery including femto laser-assisted techniques, diabetic eye care, and routine eye exams. Her expertise helps patients with conditions such as astigmatism, myopia, presbyopia, dry eye, and eye infections.
Dr. Huang earned her medical degree and doctorate from the Fourth Military Medical University in Xi’an, China. She further honed her skills through a glaucoma research fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary affiliated with Harvard Medical School and completed an additional glaucoma fellowship at Duke Eye Center. Her ophthalmology residency was also at Duke Eye Center, following an internal medicine internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
She is board-certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and maintains active membership in professional societies such as the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation. Dr. Huang is dedicated to advancing eye care through her clinical practice and research contributions.
