Meet Dr. Ian Kirchner

About Me

Dr. Ian Kirchner is an ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist who provides a variety of eye care services including routine eye exams, traditional and laser-assisted cataract surgery, diabetic eye care, vision treatment, and eye infection treatment.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College and his doctorate from the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago. His ophthalmology residency was at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore/Krieger Eye Institute, and he was chief resident during his final year. His glaucoma fellowship was at the Yale University Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science, where he was also an instructor.

Dr. Kirchner has co-authored numerous publications about eye care health and has been involved in a number of research projects. He has also offered volunteer medical care to patients in the United States, Kenya, and Honduras.
