Dr. Joseph Krug

Dr. Joseph H. Krug Jr. is an ophthalmologist at Horizon Eye Care in Charlotte, North Carolina, specializing in glaucoma and cataract surgery. He provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for glaucoma, including microincisional glaucoma surgery with iStent and Canaloplasty. Dr. Krug also performs laser-assisted cataract surgery and clear lens exchange/refractive lens exchange to address vision needs.

With a focus on patient-centered care, Dr. Krug treats a range of eye conditions and offers routine eye exams. He has been involved in clinical research on new therapies for glaucoma and cataracts and has lectured nationally and internationally. Dr. Krug currently serves as chairman of the ophthalmology department at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center and has been recognized for his contributions to the field.
