About Me
Dr. Tavish Nanda is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist providing advanced vitreoretinal care and surgery in Connecticut. He is dedicated to preserving and restoring vision for patients with retinal conditions. Dr. Nanda values the ability to improve the quality of life for his patients and approaches each case with precision and compassion.
Dr. Nanda completed his medical degree and residency at Columbia University in New York City, where he served as chief resident. He then undertook a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery and medical retina at the New England Eye Center and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, gaining extensive experience in complex surgical retina cases, including tractional detachments and secondary IOL placement.
Actively involved in research, Dr. Nanda has published numerous first-author papers and presented at national and international conferences. He has served as a sub-investigator for over two dozen clinical trials, including studies on Vabysmo, Syfovre, and sub-retinal gene therapy. Committed to global health, he has led medical mission trips and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.
