Dr. Sumana Kommana is a board-certified and fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery with advanced techniques like laser-assisted surgery and premium lens technology. She also focuses on ocular surface diseases, pterygiums, corneal cross linking, and laser vision correction, helping patients achieve clearer vision and manage various eye conditions.
She completed her undergraduate education at Duke University with distinction in Neuroscience, followed by her medical degree at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Kommana then trained in ophthalmology at Temple University and pursued further specialization through a surgical fellowship at Weill Cornell in cornea, cataracts, and refractive surgery.
