About Me
Dr. Brett Levinson is an ophthalmologist practicing at Specialized Eye Care in Baltimore. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Maryland Medical School with honors, and completed advanced training in corneal surgery at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. His clinical focus includes dry eye, keratoconus, and conditions affecting the corneal epithelium, and he also specializes in fitting contact lenses for irregular corneas, such as those with keratoconus or thinning after LASIK. Dr. Levinson treats a wide range of challenging problems of the front part of the eye.
Dr. Levinson is actively involved in research and has participated in FDA-approved trials on collagen cross-linking and novel uses for cyclosporine (Restasis). He has authored numerous journal articles and textbook chapters, and is currently working on a textbook about anterior segment OCT imaging. He frequently lectures at national meetings and provides continuing education for optometrists.
Dr. Levinson has been featured in Baltimore Magazine’s Top Docs issue and interviewed by WBAL on novel dry eye treatments. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
