About Me
Shawn J. Khan, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist. He earned his medical degree from McGill University and completed his ophthalmology residency at McGill University and Albany Medical College, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Khan subsequently completed a glaucoma fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.
As a former full-time faculty member at the University of Michigan's Kellogg Eye Institute, Dr. Khan trained residents and fellows in advanced glaucoma surgical techniques and cared for complex glaucoma cases. He also holds an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Dr. Khan has been recognized on the America's Top Ophthalmologists list and has held hospital leadership positions as Chief Medical Officer and Chief of Staff. He has lectured internationally on novel glaucoma treatments and has authored book chapters and peer-reviewed articles.
